Adrien Arpel |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
Adrien Arpel is a skin care line that seeks to combine a European sensibility with modern skin research and biology to enable people to meet their skin care needs. This developer has 30 years experience in the skin care and cosmetic industry, and it is specifically developed for women. The Adrien Arpel line is available in department stores, salons and spas, as well as on various sites online. Let’s take a look at this product line to see what it may have to offer.

 | Products at a Glance |
The Adrien Arpel line includes: cleansers, toners, hydrators, skin resurfacing treatments, masques, specialty treatments, anti-aging products, tones, clarifiers, fragrances and, of course, accessories. However, it is perhaps their anti-aging products that have gotten the most consumer attention, because it seems easing wrinkles and facial lines is priority for many women.
This line includes products such as: Bio Cellular Night Crème, Daytime Wrinkle Minimizer, Bio Cellular® Lip Line Crème, Bio Cellular Night Eye Gelee, Eyelastic Gel, Skinlastic Lift Daily Moisturizer, Eyelastic Lift Crème, Throat and Decolletage Lifting Cream, Clear and Even Skin tone Complex, 4-in-1 Cream Body, Skin Correction Body Crème and Face and Body Spritz.

 | Product in Focus |
The Daytime Wrinkle Minimizer is part of the Adrien Arpel anti-aging line, and it relies on the purported capabilities of Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 to ease wrinkles and facial lines. Most people may know very little about this anti-wrinkle peptide, so let’s take a look at it. Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 is also known as Argireline®, and it has been used in some of the more progressive anti-aging formulas, because it has been shown to reduce wrinkle formation by alleviating facial tension. This is effective because facial tension and muscle contractions may increase the formation, volume and depth of wrinkles.
In clinical studies, Argireline® has been shown to be extremely effective, however, it is not usually used alone, as it is in this formula. It is often teamed up with other effective anti-aging elements, such as Matrixyl 3000®, which has been shown in clinical studies to both stimulate Collagen synthesis and instigate dermal matrix repair to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. We find it unfortunate that it is not used in this formula, because it gives Argireline® the long-term support it needs to be effective.

 | Website |
While we like that this website allows people to order products directly, we are rather disturbed that they do not fully disclose each product’s formulary. While they highlight one element, they do not let people know what else is used in their formula, which may be problematic. Some individuals are very sensitive, and for this reason, we always suggest they know exactly what is contained in a cream that will be used on their facial skin.
|
 | Positives |
• Some products contain Argireline®
• Moderately priced products
|
 | Negatives |
• Does not use Matrixyl 3000® with Argireline®
• No real research posted at this time
• Full formularies are not disclosed as of this review

 | Final Thoughts |
The Adrien Arpel anti-aging line uses some effective anti-aging elements, but they are rather stingy in terms of quantity. For instance, while they may use Argireline® for short-term anti-aging benefits, they fail to also combine Matrixyl 3000® for long term results. We feel this creates a situation in which the formula may fall short in terms of its overall effectiveness.
However, the fact that the website gives people ease of use in terms of ordering may be a big draw for some; although we have noted that some far more effective, and fully loaded, anti-aging products offer ease of use, quick returns and effective customer care. We strongly feel these are great features to look for, because some developers make it difficult to return skin care products.
