The Hyaluronic Acid Serum by AdvanSkin™ is a moisturizing serum that is said to “provide a mechanism of transport of essential nutrients from the bloodstream to living skin cells.” Furthermore, the company specifically claims and highlights that the serum “acts as a cushioning and lubricating agent against mechanical and chemical damage.” As such, we like the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid; however, we feel it may not have the right combination of proven ingredients.
There are a number of anti-aging creams and other topical applications available nowadays; however, we believe that when it comes to reducing the visible signs of aging, it may be a better option to choose products that include scientifically formulated ingredients that specifically work on reducing fine lines and wrinkles. In the end, we believe AdvanSkin™ HA Serum may not really do much to actively reduce wrinkle formation. While we usually like parsimony when it comes to the number of ingredients in a formula, we believe the product in question may be lacking key ingredients. We believe more in ingredients that have been scientifically advanced and proven to play a role in reducing the visible signs of aging.
Therefore, an alternative may be to research other topical creams. As we age, our supply of Collagen also depletes. The skin starts loosing its ability to replenish new tissues, and age lines and wrinkles start to form. When this happens, it is necessary to ensure that the skin is properly hydrated and moisturized. There are some effective products that not only contain fresh Collagen and Matrixyl®, but also have scientifically advanced ingredients, like Argireline®, that have been specifically formulated to reduce wrinkle formation.
