Alpha Derma CE™ |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
AlphaDerma CE™ is a skincare product that is advertised to rejuvenate the skin and enhance its quality. According to the advertisements, people who use this product are led to believe that their fine lines and wrinkles will disappear, and the effects of aging will fade away. This serum is manufactured by the company, Janson Beckett.
This gel claims to hold “premium” ingredients in the skincare industry. Many products make similar claims as well, and we believe it’s important for individuals to study a product’s formula to discover their true success levels. We will assist by completely examining this product to conclude if it may have the capabilities it claims.

 | Ingredients at a Glance |
The formula for this serum is clearly listed online, and we know that AlphaDerma CE™ contains the following: Argireline®, which is said to be an abundant source for protein amino acids; Alpha Lipoic Acid, which provides the skin with antioxidants; Vitamin C, thought to repair skin damage; DMAE, which is purported to tighten the skin; Elastin, which the manufacturer claims will stretch the skin without leaving marks; Collagen, proven to prevent wrinkles; and Soy, which is said to promote healthier looking skin.
This formula is said to be designed for all skin types, and may address the needs of all individuals. Oftentimes, combination-skin formulas create an oily reaction for some. Nonetheless, the manufacturer of this serum maintains that all skin types will benefit from use of this product, and sensitive skin types do not need to worry about potential irritants.

 | Ingredients in Focus |
This product does not indicate what type of Collagen is used in this formula, or from where it is derived. Natural Collagen declines with age, making skin lose its firmness. There is belief that using a Collagen-based cream may augment levels and decrease the appearance of wrinkles. However, this may work best with a real, high-quality Collagen, and this formula does not indicate if their Collagen is synthetic or real, or if it is a from a high grade source.
Another way to combat declines in Collagen is with a Collagen stimulator. In this formula, the ingredient Vitamin C Ester is said to perform this function, yet no research is cited at this time to support this theory. We know of another ingredient, Matrixyl 3000®, which may penetrate deep into the skin to augment Collagen at a sub-dermal level.

 | Website |
On the company website, the manufacturer claims this formula is “better than Botox.” They offer some cited material for various individual ingredients in the formula, but the company does not show if this product as a whole has been tested for safety and effectiveness. Also, the manufacturer website lacks testimonials from past users of this product. Oftentimes, consumer reviews are valuable when determining if a product works as advertised.
We would like to note that AlphaDerma CE™ is rather expensive, and it is not clear if the company offers a money-back guarantee. There are some anti-wrinkle lotions that will allow a person to send back the product even after opening and using it. Since this serum costs about $130 for just 4 ounces, we believe it would be nice if the company were clearer on their return policies.

 | Final Thoughts |
Overall, this product may lend the skin some glow by adding extra moisture and radiance. However, we are not confident that the above listed formula is fully-equipped to attack wrinkles from a sub-dermal level, and this serum may offer people nothing more than preventive benefits, instead of correcting the problem.
Some people may prefer to try a lotion with the above mentioned Matrixyl 3000®, which may increase Collagen production. There are products on the market sold for much more affordable prices than AlphaDerma CE™, and we find reputable products will usually offer a complete money-back guarantee.
