Amelan® |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
Amelan® is described as a clinic and home-based “de-pigmentation treatment.” It is not a name of a company that promotes skincare and other cosmetic products. As such, people in the U.S. may find it disappointing that the company is based only in the U.K., and its clinics are only available there. The process is supposed to “treat” actinic aging of skin that happens because of exposure to sunlight or other causes, like melanin-derived imperfections and excessive pigmentation.
There are a number of anti-aging creams and other topical applications available nowadays; however, we believe that when it comes to reducing the visible signs of aging, there may be better products out there than what is included in Amelan® “treatments” pack. Therefore, we will take a look at Amelan® to conclude whether it may really offer the wonderful benefits it promises.

 | Ingredients at a Glance |
As of this review, there is an exclusive and official Amelan® Moisturizing Cleanser website. However, it does not seem to list the complete ingredients in their face pack. Our research on the product thus leads us to numerous retail stores. As per one of them, the treatment consists of a mask, or a face pack, which is applied at their special clinic, and some “at home” products. The following ingredients are included in the face pack: Kojic Acid, Phytic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Arbutine, Titanium Dioxide and Retinyl Palmitate.

 | Ingredients in Focus |
Since there are a lot of beauty and skincare products on the market claiming to dramatically reduce visible signs of aging, some women may be confused by all of the advertisements and claims. However, we believe that at least a few of these products genuinely hydrate the skin, reduce line formations, increase the elasticity of the skin tissue and make us feel great without having to spend a lot of money. We believe this product probably lacks fresh Collagen, which is the main connective tissue in our body responsible for developing new tissues, especially skin tissues.

 | Website |
We believe that the manufacturer could have gained our trust more if the website displayed more literature on the product, including the complete list of ingredients. A quality anti-wrinkle formula may also be backed by numerous and positive testimonials. We believe that a responsible manufacturer should have a strong and knowledgeable customer service program in place. Some credible and trustworthy manufacturers may even allow returns after their products have been open and tested.
|
 | Positives |
• May offer hope to those with excessive pigmentation
|
 | Negatives |
• Is a clinic-based “treatment” program only available in the U.K.
• Is not a strictly anti-aging application
• Complete list of ingredients in face pack not disclosed at time of review
• Do not seem to incorporate proven ingredients, like Collagen or Matrixyl®
• No online testimonials as of this review

 | Final Thoughts |
In the end, we usually are wary of taking up a product that requires a visit to a special “clinic” just to apply a face pack. Furthermore, there is also the fact that the complete list of ingredients is not currently available. Without such a list, it may not be proper to believe in the marketing literature. We believe a trustworthy manufacturer always goes the extra mile to ensure great customer service through proper dissemination of information.
Therefore, an alternative to those not residing in the U.K. and nearby the “clinics” may be to research other topical creams. As we age, our supply of Collagen also depletes. The skin starts loosing its ability to replenish new tissues, and age lines and wrinkles start to form. When this happens, it is necessary to ensure that the skin is properly hydrated and moisturized. There are some effective products that not only contain Collagen, but also Matrixyl 3000®, a patented version of Pentapeptide, and come with an attractive return and refund policy.
