Aubrey Organics® Collagen TCM |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
Collagen TCM by Aubrey Organics® is, as evident from its name, an anti-wrinkle cream that is based on Collagen. Aubrey Organics® is said to be the “first certified organic” company offering a large number of cosmetic products. As such, many of us may wonder why a cosmetics company would churn out a number of skincare creams. We believe more in a manufacturer that has one effective product with a proven combination of ingredients.
Thus, to many of us, believing in a manufacturer that alone offers over a dozen skin creams aiming to “moisturize” may be quite a step. Furthermore, Aubrey Organics® Collagen Therapeutic Cream Moisturizer (TCM) is not even listed under the skincare category in the website as of this review. Therefore, we will take a look at Aubrey Organics® Collagen TCM, and such topical applications in general, to conclude whether it may really provide the wonderful results it promises.
|
 | Ingredients at a Glance |
The Collagen TCM contains the following ingredients: Coconut Fatty Acid Cream Base, Natural Grain Alcohol, Organic Aloe Vera, Vegetable Glycerin, Soluble Collagen, Hydrolyzed Elastin (from bovine sources within the U.S.A.), Oak Musk Oil and Aubrey's Preservative (Citrus Seed Extract, Vitamins A, C and E). We definitely like the organic appeal. However, we believe that a responsible manufacturer will expressly mention the strength of the extracted ingredients.

 | Ingredients in Focus |
Collagen is the main protein of connective tissues. It has been found to be the primary agent in strengthening blood vessels and in developing new tissues, especially in the skin. As we age, the production of Collagen by our bodies also starts decreasing. As a result, our skin starts looking old and flaky, and wrinkles start to form. However, advances in science have found ways to extract Collagen and use it to replenish the body’s natural production.

 | Website |
The fact that the official website for Aubrey Organics® markets numerous other products, including as many as twenty skincare creams, may confuse some people. We like it better when a manufacturer focuses specifically on developing an advanced product, rather than dabbling in numerous products for similar purposes.
Therefore, we usually trust a product with its own exclusive and official website. A disconcerting thing may be that the manufacturer claims to be the first “to be certified organic”, and then goes on to explain that they have not been certified yet, but are still in the process. This sort of false claim and white lie immediately raises red flags to us.
|
 | Positives |
• Manufacturer has official online presence
• Contains Collagen and is a basic formula
|
 | Negatives |

• No online testimonials on the product as of this review
• Manufacturer markets numerous other products through the website
• May not be effective for those with high skin sensitivity
|
 | Final Thoughts |
Without a doubt, we believe that using a Collagen-based formula may be the best choice. However, we believe Collagen TCM may not be up to par. For one thing, the concentrations of the ingredients in the Aubrey Organics® formula are not even clear. The manufacturer also fails to list extensive testimonials on the product, which may be used to gauge its efficacy.
As we age, our supply of Collagen also depletes. The skin starts loosing its ability to replenish new tissues, and age lines and wrinkles start to form. When this happens, it is necessary to ensure that the skin is properly hydrated and moisturized. Instead of using harsh chemicals and unknown ingredients, it may thus be wiser to trust a proven, effective and patented formula. There are some effective products that not only supply fresh Collagen, but also include scientifically advanced ingredients, like Matrixyl 3000®, which promotes natural Collagen production.
