Introduction & Overview |
B. Kamins is a line of skin care products that apparently feature “natural extracts of Canadian Maple trees.” This “Maple sap” is said to combat environmental and internal aging processes by “speeding up the rate at which old, tired skin cells are shed, and combating the visible appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.”
While for some, this Maple-extract line of products may work very well, we are not entirely certain that this ingredient will yield results for everyone. While the Maple tree is known to be used for syrup, candy, and timber, we were not able to locate much information validating its usefulness in skin care. Although it may be laudable that this ingredient is “all natural,” we feel that consumers deserve to have the most potent ingredients at their disposal. We will assess this line of products for its ability to preserve healthy, smooth skin.

This company seems to sell a wide range of products, from cleansers/toners, to moisturizers, to reparative formulas. There also seem to be products targeted to specific skin conditions, such as Rosacea, Eczema and acne. There appear to be anti-aging products, and those for “extra-dry” skin. The company sells a line of sun protection products, as well as products for men. B. Kamins also seems to feature shampoos and face masques and eye creams.

For the purpose of this review, we will focus on one of the company’s top products, the Therapeutic Diamond Radiance Cellular Matrix Fortifier. This cream is said to “work on all signs of aging to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while powerful ingredients work in synergy to combat slackened skin and prevent environmental damage.” We were disappointed to discover that at the time of review, a complete ingredient list did not seem to be provided for this product.
The Website does provide an overview of this manufacturer’s “signature ingredient,” Bio-Maple.™ This ingredient is said to “” contain pure AHA’s and anti-oxidants that are naturally derived from maple trees (acer saccharum).” While this ingredient may be useful to some, we cannot help but consider it antiquated compared to such advanced ingredients as Argireline® and Matrixyl 3000®. We would have preferred to have access to a complete list of ingredients for this product.

This company’s Website, in our opinion, is very professional and attractive in appearance. There is extensive information about the different products, and about the technologies used to deliver the ingredients in those products. However, we would have liked to see full lists of ingredients for each of the products. It is our belief that consumers should be fully educated about a product prior to purchase.
We were also somewhat disappointed to discover a lack of consumer testimonials on this product’s Website. It is our opinion that consumer testimonials can be a valid means of sharing information and experiences between customers. This type of exchange may be quite helpful in making purchasing decisions.

| Final Thoughts |
In the end, we feel that this line of products may be a mild, gentle means of skin cleansing and/or moisturizing. However, where deep wrinkles or severely aging skin is concerned, we are not certain that it is truly powerful enough.
We believe that consumers deserve the best ingredients that modern science has to offer. We have heard of particularly positive findings with the ingredients Argireline® and Matrixyl 3000®.
