BORBA Drinkable Skin Care |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
It is quite extraordinary that BORBA claims its Drinkable line of “Skin Balance Water” products “allows skin to condition and improve itself from within.” BORBA is a relatively new skincare company offering a number of similarly formulated skin care products. As such, many of us may wonder why a cosmetics company would churn out a number of different skincare products. Furthermore, we believe the idea that drinking “age-defying” BORBA water reduces wrinkles may be very misleading.
It may be tempting to wish that drinking flavored and fortified waters may reduce the visible signs of aging. The company BORBA seems to be trying to cash in on such wishful thinking. However, as of this review, the website fails to post any scientific studies or research to back their “drinkable skincare” products, although they provide some clinical studies backing their topical skincare products. Therefore, we will take a look at BORBA Drinkable Skincare to conclude whether it may really provide the wonderful results it promises.

 | Products at a Glance |
The official website for BORBA lists its skincare products under the following categories: Drinkable Skincare, Drinkable Skincare and Confections, which is a multi-vitamin complex. Under its Drinkable Skincare category are BORBA Skin Balance Waters and BORBA Skin-Balance Aqua-Less Crystallines lines of products. Both of these lines contain 4 different products under the following categories: Clarifying, Age Defying, Replenishing and Firming.

 | Products in Focus |
Besides the possibility that some of the products may be effective moisturizers and cleansers, we wonder why the company is intent on promoting so many different formulas as part of its Drinkable Skincare line of products. Even in the Drinkable Skincare line, there are three subcategories, which makes us question the efficiency of using any formula by BORBA. In any case, we also believe the active ingredient in the formulas, Retinol, may not be anything new or reliable. Therefore, we believe that those looking for an effective anti-aging topical application may be disappointed by the BORBA Drinkable Skincare line.

 | Lifestyle |
We believe that when it comes to skin rejuvenation, topical applications with fresh Collagen may a better way to boost its supply rather than taking it in a capsule form. Many people seem to prefer using a hydrating and moisturizing cream that naturally increases the body’s production of Collagen. We believe that it may be more hassle to have to take pills everyday. In fact, there seem to be some really good anti-aging creams out there with scientifically advanced ingredients, like Matrixyl 3000®, which has been specifically formulated to boost Collagen levels in the skin.

 | Final Thoughts |
As discussed above, it may be attractive to think that drinking flavored and fortified water that is “without calories, carbs, fat, or sodium” may reduce the visible signs of aging. However, we believe that most of us aren’t that gullible to buy the hypothesis. Unless strong scientific evidence is provided, and unless the product is backed by proven results, we remain highly skeptical.
In the end, it is without a doubt that some anti-aging and anti-wrinkle creams may work wonders. However, it may be difficult to choose the best product available, since the market is saturated with many mediocre products. Therefore, we believe the best way to go about it would be to first look at the ingredients. Secondly, women may wish to look at the prices. Thirdly, testimonials and effective media coverage on a product may be a good way to gauge a product’s effectiveness. Fourthly, those with money-back offers may be worth a trial.
