Burt’s Bees® |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
Burt’s Bees® Face Products are a line of skincare formulas marketed as a potent, yet safe collection of anti-aging creams, all-natural cleansers, toners, exfoliants, moisturizers and other topical products. Advertised primarily towards women, these products appear to be marketed as unique, due to the botanicals and herbal extracts included in the formulas.
These skincare products may be accessible, considering they may be purchased online or locally at many retailers, but we believe they may not necessarily be the strongest anti-aging formulas available as advertised. Some research may reveal their possible strengths and weaknesses. We will get a closer look at the items to see if they may be worth considering.

The products appear to be separated into the following seven categories: Cleansers, Moisturizers, Exfoliants, Treatments, Toners, Eye Creme and Complexion Mists. Cleansers may include: Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream, Orange Essence Facial Cleanser, Lemon Poppy Seed Facial Cleanser and Garden Carrot Complexion Soap.
The company’s line of moisturizers may include Radiance Day Creme, which is advertised as a “quick-absorbing formula” that is “packed with 134 nutrients”, such as vitamins and amino acids; Carrot Nutritive Day Cream, which may be “especially beneficial to sun-drenched skin,” according to the company; and the Tinted Facial Moisturizer with Coconut Oil.

 | Products in Focus |
According to the company, the Pore Refining Mask may contain some of the following ingredients: French Green Clay, Bentonite, Fragrance, Mentha Piperita Leaf, Equisetum Arvense Leaf Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower, Rosemary Leaf Extract and Sage Leaf Extract. Again, it may be nice to have natural ingredients, but there may be more potent alternatives.
Some of the highly regarded anti-wrinkle creams on the market may contain premium ingredients, like Collagen, Argireline®, Hyaluronic Acid and Matrixyl 3000®. Hyaluronic Acid is believed to be one of the most effective retainers of moisture and water, while Collagen is known to be important for promoting softer, smoother and younger-looking skin.

Many of these products may be on the affordable side. For instance, the Pore Refining Mask is listed for about $8 at time of review; the Radiance Night Creme may be purchased for around $15; and a 1.25-ounce tube of the Tinted Facial Moisturizer has a price tag of about $7 at time of review. However, we are concerned that these low prices may be representative of low overall quality.
We believe women should use the best available anti-wrinkle products on the market, which means formulas that have undergone clinical testing to ensure consistency over the long run.
|
 | Positives |
• The products may be purchased locally at many retailers
• The formulas may be comprised of a number of botanicals
|
 | Negatives |
• Discounts may not be available for volume purchases
• Consumer testimonials appear to be inconclusive
• 100 percent money-back guarantees may not be available
• None of the products seem to contain both Collagen and Argireline®
|
 | Final Thoughts |
Burt’s Bees® Face Products may be on the market as a top-end collection of general skincare products for women and men, but we are not entirely convinced that these products are among the best anti-aging solutions available. Women who enjoy all-natural products may find an item or two interesting, but in general, we believe some alternatives may be worth a look.
We are disappointed that these products may not come with a 100 percent money-back guarantee at time of review. This would mean that women may not buy a product risk-free and return it for a full refund, which may put an individual in a tough situation. Fortunately, some reputable companies are known to offer refunds on unwanted products – even if they are opened.
