CeraVe™ |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
Described as offering safe, non-irritant formulas, CeraVe™ is advertised as a product line that promotes anti-aging. According to the CeraVe™ website, these items are dermatologist recommended. There are hundreds of products like the CeraVe™ items on the market, so we need to evaluate these formulas and their ingredients in order to assess their validity as skin care options.
With so many formulas to choose from, searching for the right skin care product may be a difficult process for many. We feel it is important to be informed about what is contained in these products, and which ingredients work the best. With so many options, we believe people should be educated about the ingredients contained in the products they purchase.

 | Products at a Glance |
The CeraVe™ product line offers three items: CeraVe™ hydrating Cleanser, CeraVe™ Moisturizing Lotion, and CeraVe™ Moisturizing Cream. These products are advertised as featuring “MVE Delivery Technology” and being formulated with essential “Ceramids.”
Unfortunately, at the time of review, we are unable to find the entire ingredients contained in these products. However, we’ll evaluate the validity of these items and attempt to compare them to other products on the market.

 | Products in Focus |
According to the official website, the CeraVe™ items are based on “Ceramide” formulas. The manufacturer claims Ceramides assist with water retention and create a “protective barrier” for the skin. However, we find very little background information about these ingredients at this time, and we begin to question the validity of these items.
Looking closer, we realize that the CeraVe™ items lack some essential skin care contents. Usually, in a top-notch skin care product, we look for the ingredient, Matrixyl 3000®. Matrixyl® is a highly advanced ingredient that is known to promote Collagen, which keeps skin soft and vibrant. This ingredient is proven to reduce wrinkles and restore the skin. When searching for a skin care product, we believe it is crucial for individuals to look for this ingredient.
However, we feel Matrixyl 3000® is just one facet of a well-rounded skin care formula. Other high quality ingredients include Argireline® and Collagen. Clinical research shows these are the kinds of highly effective, yet safe contents that make a skin care formula worthwhile.

 | Lifestyle |
People should choose a product that meets their skin care needs and is safe for long term use. It is important to understand that not all skin care products are equal, and that many cash in on seductive marketing techniques, preying on those who are susceptible to impulse buys.
At the time of review, the CeraVe™ website does not appear to offer an adequate refund policy or user testimonials, and we find these are important features to look for when choosing a quality product. Many products containing Matrixyl 3000® have been featured in prominent publications, and are backed by extensive research, which we believe is also a good thing to look for when choosing a skin care item.
|
 | Positives |
• Fairly competitive prices
• Ceramide-based formula
• Offers multiple products
• Easy ordering
|
 | Negatives |
• No user testimonials at this time
• Inadequate refund policy
• Contains seemingly mediocre ingredients
• Doesn’t include Matrixyl 3000®
|
 | Final Thoughts |
We believe the CeraVe™ products appear to be potentially ineffective, due to their inclusion of unfamiliar ingredients and their lack of top-quality skin care ingredients. The CeraVe™ promotion proposes some interesting claims, but we feel ultimately fails to support them, leaving us to question the validity of these items. The long-term appearance of the skin is deeply impacted by the products we use. That is why we believe it is so important for people to search for items that contain high-quality ingredients and that fit their individual needs.
When searching for an anti-aging product, we find some safe and effective ingredients to look for include Matrixyl® and Argireline®, which are known to be efficient skin care ingredients that provide great results without side effects. Many of these top quality formulas are featured in prominent publications and are backed by extensive websites. We think individuals should, however, always seek products that offer a fair refund policy. There are quality formulas on the market, and it is an individual’s responsibility to make informed choices.
