Clayton Shagal |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
The cosmetics company, La Maison Clayton Shagal, is based in Montreal, although it is claimed that their “revolutionary Collagen formulation” was created through “scientific research facilities in Germany.” The company claims that it has had breakthrough anti-aging cream formulations. As such, it promotes a number of skincare products. However, such claims and marketing literature may not be anything new in the industry.
Actually, for many of us, believing in a manufacturer that alone offers over a dozen categories of skincare products may be quite a step. We usually like it better when a manufacturer is dedicated to producing one quality anti-aging product, rather than experimenting in a number of mediocre items. Therefore, we will take a look at Clayton Shagal Skincare to conclude whether it may really provide the wonderful benefits it promises.

 | Products at a Glance |
As mentioned above, Clayton Shagal promotes numerous skincare products. Some of them are: Collagen Gel I and II, Elastin Gel I and II, Hyprocel Gel, Gel Lotion Cleanser, Placyderm Cream Superior, Oat Bran Scrub, Elastin Extract, Acnose Cream, AHA Scrub, Moisturizing Cream, Hynoderm Cream, Milk Cleanser and so on. Complete lists of ingredients in these formulas are not immediately available on the website as of this review.

 | Products in Focus |
While we usually welcome a holistic approach to skincare, we have serious hesitations in trusting a manufacturer that promotes more than a dozen different creams or lotions. Furthermore, the company does not seem to promote a specifically formulated anti-wrinkle formula. While it is mentioned in passing that the skincare products have Collagen boosting ingredients, the list is not provided at this time.
We believe that the best products will incorporate only the minimum number of ingredients needed to exfoliate the skin, boost Collagen production and reduce visible signs of aging. As such, we like it better when topical creams include ingredients like Matrixyl®, which is scientifically formulated to specifically promote natural Collagen production. This ingredient has also been known to strengthen the essential structure of skin tissue.

 | Website |
We believe that the manufacturer could have gained our trust more if they had created an exclusive and official website on each product. However, we could only locate an official Clayton Shagal website as of this review. Nevertheless, the flash-based website does not even currently list its products, and only serves as an introduction to the company. The products instead may be bought only through retail stores. As such, a return and refund policy may be courtesy of these retail stores. We usually like it better when we may buy directly from the manufacturer online, thereby bypassing the middleman.
|
 | Positives |
• Manufacturer has official online presence
• Markets topical applications and skin creams
|
 | Negatives |
• Formulas may not contain Sodium Hyaluronate or Argireline®
• Price to size ratio may be considered expensive by industry standards
• No online testimonials on the products as of this review
• Return and refunds policies not clearly listed
• Manufacturer promotes number of skincare creams and applications

 | Final Thoughts |
Therefore, an individual may wish to look at the manufacturer as much as the ingredients. We believe a really effective product will not only have an exclusive online presence and excellent customer service, but also will be backed by testimonials and real results. In these regards, we believe Clayton Shagal products fail to be impressive.
In the end, we believe choosing a skin rejuvenating cream is all about the ingredients. We find the best products will definitely have ingredients that have been proven to not only lubricate and exfoliate the skin, but to also actively eliminate dead cells, thereby reducing the flaking. Furthermore, we also like a beauty cream that contains Collagen, which has been found to be the primary agent in strengthening blood vessels and in developing new tissues, especially in the skin. Thus, products with Collagen and other proven ingredients that come with an attractive price to size ratio may be worth a trial.
