Clientele Cosmetics |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
Clientele is a cosmetics company that claims to have a simple philosophy of using “the finest ingredients in the most effective amounts to produce immediate visible results.” According to the website, each formula is technologically advanced and is based on “years of research by top experts.”
Pat Riley is the president and CEO of Clientele, and she supposedly developed the first oil-free moisturizer in 1979. Since that time, the company has created many more products, many of which contain antioxidants and are formulated to defy the signs of aging. We will look more closely at some of these formulas used in the products below.

 | Products at a Glance |
The company has four different product lines, including: Clientele: Beauty Basics; Elastology: The Science of Improving Elasticity; Estro-Lift: The Science of Revitalizing Beauty; and Time Therapy: Beauty that Stands the Test of Time.
Each of the product lines contain cleansers, moisturizers and intensive treatment products, but each brand is said to be distinctly different. Some of them have more products than others, and the Clientele line seems to have more makeup products.

 | Products in Focus |
Since so many anti-aging products have become popular, we decided to look more closely at the Elastology product line. Here, we are presented with even more options, and a description of the Elastology 5 Step System for enabling women to “look young, feel young and be young.”
The five steps are listed as cleansing, exfoliating, nourishing, protecting and replenishing, and women have several product choices for each category. Additionally, several “age erasers” are available.
We are most curious about the Firming Night Cream, a nighttime moisturizer meant to aid those with loss of elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles. The product is advertised as hydrating and softening the skin, while replenishing “elements essential to skin elasticity.” It should be used at least three nights per week, according to the website, and a 1.1-ounce bottle sells for about $75.

 | Website |
The Clientele website contains details on all of the products manufactured by the company, including usage directions for each product, and using the products together. As mentioned, some company background is posted, and we appreciate seeing a time line of when certain formulas were created.
The products have apparently been mentioned in several magazines, and links to these articles are posted. We have to say that we are surprised that no customer testimonials are posted on the site at this time. We like to know what others have said, and especially like to see before and after photographs for anti-aging products. This enables us to see just how effective a product may be.
|
 | Positives |
• All products may be purchased through the website
• Company information is posted
|
 | Negatives |
• Not all product ingredients are listed at time
• No testimonials posted on website as of review
• Use of entire product line could be expensive
|
 | Final Thoughts |
Women looking for information on anti-aging products may not be disappointed with the Clientele website; the site contains a lot of details on each of the four brands of products, and those perusing the site may end up spending quite a bit of time reading about all of the possible products they could purchase from the company.
We appreciate that formulas are supposedly scientifically developed for each of the products, but are still not convinced it may be best for women wishing to combat the signs of aging, since we see no evidence from others. We find products that include clinically proven ingredients, like Argireline® and Matrixyl 3000®, will be most effective in restoring the skin to a more youthful appearance; these ingredients are available in products that have gotten a lot of positive results from satisfied women, and the products may be purchased online.
