Colorescience® |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
According to the advertisement, Colorescience® Face Products are all about “the power of illusion and the art of distraction.” The advertisement claims that Colorescience® is the “brainchild of the matriarch of natural mineral make-up,” a woman named Diane Richardson Ranger. The company has a line of face, eye and lip skincare products that are said to “capitalize on the natural ability of mineral pigments to reflect light.”
The Colorescience® products are supposedly formulated to condition all skin types, and individuals have many product options. We will take a closer look at this company and the products they manufacture to see whether or not they may be a good choice for women seeking an effective skin care product, particularly one to combat the signs of aging.

 | Products at a Glance |
The advertisement states that Colorescience® Mineral Makeup is “easy to use and good for your skin.” Apparently, the products contain no oils, perfumes, talcs or alcohol and are formulated to reflect light “to make the skin look younger.”
Women interested in the Colorescience® products may choose from foundations, brush cleaners and mineral powder compacts, as well as several products formulated specifically to combat the signs of aging. The product that caught our attention was the Colorescience® Primer Line Tamer to supposedly smooth away fine lines and wrinkles.

 | Products in Focus |
This product is described as being “an antioxidant skin filler” that will make the pores appear smaller and even out the skin tone. It will supposedly conceal redness and inflammation, while smoothing out fine lines, and may be used before or after makeup application.
The key ingredients listed for this formula are Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Oats, Blue Algae, Beta Carotene, Vitamin E to regenerate skin cells; Green Tea to protect the skin from environmental stress; and Tangerine.
A 0.68-ounce bottle of the Colorescience® Primer Line Tamer costs about $42, and it may be purchased online.

 | Website |
We do not find an official Colorescience® website, but luckily we are able to learn about the company from some of the vendors’ websites. Some of these sites post background information on the company, descriptions of all products and product reviews. And, the products may be purchased online.
We are disappointed not to see any customer reviews posted for the products we are most interested in. We generally like to see what others have said, and whether or not the product lived up to the customers’ expectations. Perhaps women who have purchased these products have not had an experience worth writing about.

 | Final Thoughts |
Use of the Colorescience® products may be of interest to women who would like to try natural mineral makeup. We appreciate that the products are free of alcohol and oils, and they may be a good choice for women looking for a new foundation or powder. As far as wrinkle reduction, however, we are not overly impressed.
Currently, women have many options when it comes to finding a product to combat the signs of aging. There are popular ingredients on the market that have been clinically shown to reduce wrinkles and repair deep tissue damage. Ingredients such as Argireline® and Matrixyl 3000® have both undergone clinical trials with great success; those looking for a proven formula may wish to seek products containing both of these potent ingredients. Many of these may be purchased online, and we have also come across companies that offer 30-day money-back guarantees.
