Dr. Ci: Labo |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
Dr. Ci: Labo Anti-Aging Skin Care is a brand of topical solutions for women manufactured and marketed by a company based in Japan. Though the company may have many different categories of products, the anti-aging line of skincare products only contains two items at time of review. These products are advertised as top-end beauty formulas.
It seems many companies market their products these days as effective alternatives to the often costly and painful procedure known as BOTOX®. These companies claim their products may be superior to the competition, but often such claims may fall through. We will get a closer look at these products to see what their pros and cons may be.

 | Products at a Glance |
As mentioned, the company only has two anti-aging products at time of review: Dr. Ci: Labo Perfect Ageless and Dr. Ci: Labo W-Deep Botolium. The former is marketed as a topical cream for reducing the appearance of wrinkles, sagging skin, fine lines and crow’s feet on the face, and the latter is advertised as focusing on the wrinkles around the eyes, mouth and forehead.
According to the official website, the Perfect Ageless Cream may contain ingredients like Vitamins C, A and E and other naturally derived substances. The company claims the cream may contain ingredients that “work together to fight dullness and to light up your skin.” Unfortunately, a full list of ingredients may not be available at this time.

 | Products in Focus |
The W-Deep Botolium, which is priced at less than half the cost of the Perfect Ageless Cream at time of review, may contain some of the following ingredients: Argireline® Sol, Myoxinol LS, Alpha-Hesperidin, Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and “a special ingredient”, called A-G Vitamin P, which is marketed as promoting absorption of the nutrients.
We suspect that Argireline® Sol is not the same as Argireline®, believed to be one of the leading anti-wrinkle ingredients available today. We are glad to see Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid listed as part of the formulation, considering they are well-regarded in the industry. However, we are disappointed that Matrixyl 3000® has not been included to round out the formula.

 | Lifestyle |
These two products together may cost nearly $200, which may be well over what most of us would expect to spend. We find it ironic that the company markets these products as a cost-effective alternative to BOTOX®, yet it may actually not be as affordable as advertised. To top it off, the company encourages women to buy additional products to complement their regimen.
Unfortunately, a consumer testimonials page is missing from the company’s official website at time of review. This may be a significant omission, since many women may have come to expect to see success stories posted on the most successful companies’ websites. We find testimonials enable individuals to share what their experiences may have been like.
|
 | Positives |
• The products may be purchased online
• May contain some botanicals and herbal extracts
|
 | Negatives |
• None of the formulas may contain both Argireline® and Collagen
• A 100 percent money-back guarantee may not be available
• Consumer testimonials may be hard to find online
• Discounts may not be offered on volume purchases

 | Final Thoughts |
Dr. Ci: Labo Anti-Aging Skin Care may be advertised as a powerful pair of anti-wrinkle formulas, but we are not confident that they are among the most effective alternatives to BOTOX®, despite the company’s claims. We believe some of the more promising alternatives currently on the market may easily exceed these two products in both formula and company quality.
Additionally, some of the more worthwhile skincare products are known to come with 100 percent money-back offers, which enable women to buy these products risk-free. Such an offer may not be available from this company at time of review, but we hope this changes soon. In the meantime, a select few companies may even offer full refunds on products that have been used.
