GabaMed™ |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
Since there are so many cosmetics company out there, it may be tough to choose a product. This may be made more complicated by the fact that many manufacturers are also intent on promoting a slew of moisturizers and anti-aging creams and lotions. Furthermore, the beauty industry also offers corrective plastic surgeries and other cosmetic products, like BOTOX®. In light of this, GabaMed™ may be an option for those desiring a “nerve-relaxing treatment that lasts up to 10 hours”
However, it may be one thing to opt for a “treatment” that lasts mere hours, as opposed to a holistic approach, where the desired result is naturally healthy and young-looking skin. It is interesting to note that GabaMed™ promotional literature seems to be chiefly concerned with comparing itself with BOTOX® Cosmetic. Therefore, we will take a look at GabaMed™ and BOTOX® Cosmetic, and analyze their possible strengths and weaknesses to conclude if there may be better anti-aging products out there.
|
 | Ingredients at a Glance |
As per the official GabaMed™ website, the “treatment” is but a topical application consisting of some ingredients we believe may be relatively unknown. The only ingredient that is disclosed is Gabamine™, which is supposedly a patented version of Gamma Amino-Butyric Acid (GABA). This GABA is said to “relax the nerves in the skin.” It is said to act instantaneously, and its supposed effects are said to last up to 10 hours.
|
 | Ingredients in Focus |
Although we like the idea of relaxing the nerve endings of the facial tissue, we believe that when it comes to visibly reducing the signs of aging, ingredients that boost natural Collagen production may play a much more advanced and verifiable role. We also cannot figure out why GabaMed™ would wish to compete with BOTOX® Cosmetic, since they seem to be unrelated products. While GabaMed™ is a topical application in the form of a lotion, BOTOX® Cosmetic involves injections.
|
 | Website |
We appreciate that GabaMed™ has its own official and exclusive website. However, we believe the website may not really be up to par for a number of reasons. First, it does not provide any links to studies and research on the ingredient. Second, they do not have any before and after pictures as of this review, while only three dubious sounding testimonials are available.
Third, the complete list of ingredients is not disclosed at this time. Fourth, the entire marketing literature is cramped in one page, and basically revolves around why BOTOX® Cosmetic is not a good option. Lastly, while they offer their product purportedly valued at around $139 for free, they do not clearly list their return policy as of this review.
|
 | Positives |
• Is a topical application for anti-aging
|
 | Negatives |
• May not contain proven ingredients, like Collagen and Matrixyl 3000®
• Complete list of ingredients not disclosed at this time
• No online testimonials and before and after pictures as of this review
• Return and refunds policies not clearly listed
• Price to size ratio may not be attractive at around $139

 | Final Thoughts |
Without a doubt, many of us may be initially attracted by the fact that GabaMed™ claims to be better than BOTOX® Cosmetic. However, as mentioned above, when it comes to reducing the visible signs of aging, we believe that there may already be other proven and trustworthy products with an effective return and refund policy. A select few of the reputable products may also accept returns, even when a product has been opened and tried.
Therefore, those looking for a specific anti-aging cream may try looking up a manufacturer that has a substantial online presence. Many women may also do well by exploring as much as they may about the ingredients before taking any formula. Nowadays, scientifically advanced ingredients, like Argireline®, and others, like Collagen and Sodium Hyaluronate, seem to be gaining much consumer confidence. Furthermore, we find a successful manufacturer will also have an attractive return and refund policy, and will be supported by real testimonials and results.
