Introduction & Overview |
IS Clinical skincare was designed by Innovative Skincare; which prides itself on creating “long-term results oriented anti-aging and optimizing skincare formulations”. The IS Clinical product line consists of anti-aging and optimizing skincare formulations. They in fact pride themselves on using the most advanced research and technology to deliver consumers “rapid and safe, long-term positive results”.
In fact, they have drawn upon the skills of Dr. Mostafa Omar. PhD, their Chief Scientific Advisor, to develop products which are focused on using topical Vitamin C in skincare formulas. They also have started a cancer care program, which is designed to help individuals who are undergoing cancer treatments preserve their skin health during this process.

 | Products in Focus |
Clearly this company has an admirable mission, and many noble endeavors, but it is always important to take a discerning look at the product line to see how effective it is. For this reason lets take a look at C & E Serum, which is one of IS Clinical premier anti-aging products. It actually contains a great deal of antioxidant power, such as Vitamin C, as stabilized L-Ascorbic Acid and Vitamin E, which has a known antioxidant, which has been used to promotes wound healing, as well as to preserve cellular integrity.
L-Ascorbic Acid is one of the most potent forms of vitamin C, and it is an element many consumers actively seek out in skin care products. Many products advertise that they contain Vitamin C; however, L-Ascorbic Acid is an antioxidant, which has the best hope of stimulating the synthesis of collagen in the human body. This is important because age, as well as sun damage and environmental toxins can decrease collagen production.
However, while this may well be a good tactic on IS Clinical’s part in terms of enhancing collagen production, it is not the best. In fact our findings show that using Real Collagen has been shown to be one of the most effective ways of directly affecting collagen production, because it quickly replenishes what is missing from the skins composition. In fact, it has been shown to help users combat wrinkles, as well as increase smoothness, softness and elastically, while combating wrinkles. We have trouble understanding why it was not used in this product, or any of their other products.

 | Website |
This website does provide consumers with a section in which they can look up the ingredients used in their product line, in order to ascertain what the product is used for, as well as some research related information. However, the research data is not very comprehensive, and actually only provides references, which are really not very useful to consumers. We would have preferred to have seen them provide consumers with links to the actual research, or even better yet, post it on their site.
|
 | Positives |
• Hyaluronic acid is used in some of their formularies
|
 | Negatives |
• Overly expensive
• At time of review, developer provides limited information about their products

 | Final Thoughts |
The IS Clinical product line may well help some individuals meet their skin care needs, especially when it comes to issues such as acne and Rosacea. Some of their products, such as C & E Serum, do contain Hyaluronic acid, which is a great way to hydrate the skin. However, they have failed to use some known and potent agents in their anti-aging line such as Real Collagen and Matrixyl 3000.
This is important, because supplementation with Real Collagen has been shown to be able to fight wrinkles, while keeping the skin supple, smooth and soft; and Matrixyl 3000 has been shown to be able to directly affect the depth, volume and density of wrinkles. We had trouble understanding why these two powerful anti-aging tools were not included in the IS Clinical skin care line, because these are elements that many savvy consumers actually seek out.
