mary jane mccamant: I would like to comment on Jafras skin care line, I know whats in most of the items I sold it and still love Jafra. Ayuvedic is their claim to fame and botanials I could read you the other 5000 ingredients but no Matrixyl or argireline. The line proclaims that the plants mostly from india is the art of balance. I can say that their spa features, body complex has helped my psoriasis because it has a healing agent simply aspirn they dont tell us but I research everything before I sell it to c lient. Now telling you that this is the best product I have used for my skin is not a lie their royal honey lotion is big I think it is just a lotion but it has a fine facilator that quickly grabs hold of the skin sheltering it from the elements while plumping it from the inside. Jafra aslo has intellishield its made from red sea weed suppose to protect skin from elements and again plumps out the skin. It does. Now the negative about Jafra, I left as a power seller because they squeeze the consultant and tax you up your whazoo. When I ran numbers on a number lets say,44.00 the 30% consultants end up with a whopping 1.60 after shipping and being taxed on retail not wholesale. We also got taxed on fed ex which tells me they do not tax . When you shatter their illusions and make waves they shut you down very quickly. They loved me when I was an active seller receiving 50% BUT WHEN I called them out on the squeeze they were furious. I quit and several other intelligent consultants did as well. Firt they lie telling you can become a millionaire or top gun seller. AS an aesthetcian I knew that this a mlm but I was retired and did not care I wanted something to play around with, then I got complaints from those at the very bottom they could not afford to charge a big order they had to do it peice mill . Jafra is another self promoting, self agrandizing, selfish company owned by vorek a german comp. who is targeting women that stay home having no business experience and little e ducation those at the top continue to tell jafra consultants t hey are not working hard enough on parties. Bull, it is the biggest lie and I hope someone will read my testiment and experience,

Anonymous: Appreciate your comments. I was a Jafra Consultant many years ago when it was still owned and managed by Jan and Frank Day. They had great products and treated their consultants fairly. Had thought of getting reinvolved but it sounds like it has gotten too big and impersonal. Kind of sad--because they always had good basic products.

Anonymous: I too use to sell Jafra until I learned about the ingredients. A company that can not share what is going on your body is a bit scary! Mineral Oil is the base for most of there products. Which is a shame because it really is not good for your skin, SLS,DEA are just a few. So my advice to anyone out there is read, study and ask. If the company is not willing to post on there web site what they use then I would stay away!

robin: I had thought of getting involved with Jafra, but not sure now after reading the first comment. I have samples and other business info coming to me about signing up. Would like to know more about the company and products if anyone else has any comments.

Sarah: I never sold Jafra products, but was introduced to Jafra's "classic skin care line" in the summer of 2000 by my mom whose friend was a Jafra consultant. I was 19 and suffered from acne that never really went away. So my mom's friend gave me Jafra's (classic skin care line) cleansing lotion (which was a liquidy cream base), skin refreshener (a toner that was a soft peach color), clear blemish treatment (2% salicylic acid), day lotion spf15, night cream "Time Protector, an eye cream also "Time Protector", the Deep Cleansing Mask and a fantastic facial serum called "Alpha Hydroxy Complex" that is the most amazing Jafra product ever!!! My skin cleared up completely by the fourth day of using it! The more I used it, which I did twice a day every day for five years, my skin got better and better to the point that I would pick up a magazine and my skin looked better without any makeup than that of a model in a magazine ad that had been airbrushed! I Have combination skin and suffer from eczema...that being said, my skin will break out over anything, even the change of weather caused problems for me. Fast forward five years and I find out from my Jafra consultant that the "classic skin care line" is being discontinued! It was back to hunting for skin care products. I tried the "new" Jafra dynamics line. I didn't like it at all. Five years and four months after that (its summer 2010) I gave Jafra another try, this time doing it all on my own through ebay. I had to research the new dynamics line and have had to mix and match a cleanser from the Dynamics Calming line with a toner from the Balance line. Luckily the rest of the original products were not discontinued just repackaged. Now I still have the original bottles of the "classic skin care line", One bottle for each product I used, as refrence for finding a new skincare line that would be the closest match. The original bottles have the ingredients listed and even the percentage of a few main ingrediants. But the new packaging for the Dynamics line has you guessing. And it isn't helpful. Even the chart/brochure of new products listed is not helpful because there is no real organization to it on what product works well with another product that meets your skin's needs. So the presentation and repackaging of Jafra's skin care products are cheap and it shows, even the feel of the new bottles compared to the older bottles. More importantly, the new Dynamics cleansers and toners and moisturizers from all four Dynamic skin care lines are cheap. For what ever reason Jafra discontinued the classic skin care line over time has in my opinion hurt the company's sales. In the 90's I remember hearing fantastic things about Jafra as a whole, how the company was being run, the quality of the products, the way the consultants were not pushy but knowledgable with every answer to every question one had. In 2005 maybe the company had to cut back on what they spent on ingrediants, or Jafra was now under new management. For what ever the reason, today this company doesn't have that same solid edge to it as it once had. The web site and products have been, in the nicest way I can say, dumbed down to the quick fix drug store skin care products. Not that going to a drug store to buy Roc or Oil of Olay is terrible, those are fantastic brands with fantastic products, but nothing compared to what Jafra was. I'm all for change, but not in this case.

Norma Lopez: This is my 2nd attempt to clear up misinformation regarding Jafra. I have read so much misinformation regarding JAFRA. First to the editor, Jafra has a 100% refund policy and high quality ingredients. It seems to me that your research if one was done is very misinforming. All one needs to do is go to the company website and check out Research & Development. Cosmecutical Mineral Oil was in our original Royal Jelly Milk Balm formula and I loved it! This is not a harmful Mineral Oil but one that many cosmetic companys use. However, Jafra wanted to end any controversary regarding the use of Mineral Oil & took out the mineral oil. Our Dynamic skincare is fabulous, if you enjoy skincare products without harmful ingredients. I disagree that the packaging is cheap, even if it was - it's the products that will make a difference in your skin, not the container. The company's sales have not been hurt, not sure where you are getting your mis-information. Jafra just built a $35 million distribution center in Dallas Tex...we are experiencing a great growth! I started using Jafra products in 1982, I joined as a Consultant in 1990...I took an early retirement from my Corporate job 2 years to focus on what I love to, do Jafra parties! My suggestion to anyone wanting information about our business is ask someone who has been with the company for many years. Lots of our Leaders have been with Jafra for over 20, 30, 40 & even 50 years. Women won't stay with a company if the products are as bad as you. I personally have been with Jafra 20 years. To Sarah; if you don't mind companies that test on animals, stay woth ROC or Olay, I would not call these fantastic products...there is no company that has a Royal Jelly skin care line as Jafra does.. I'm sorry that you have recieved incorrect information.
