The manufacturer contends that the formulation may consist of all-natural ingredients like Collagen, but we ask whether the Collagen included is real and fresh. We find some companies may inaccurately claim that their formulas are comprised of high-quality ingredients. According to some retailers’ websites, the topical cream may consist of ingredients like: Glycerin, Mineral Oil, Myristyl Myristate, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Palmitic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, PEG Tocopheryl Acetate, Cetyl Alcohol, Panthenol, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Acrylates Copolymer, Butylene Glycol, Alumina and Cyclodextrin.
Additional ingredients may include: Yeast Extract, Soluble Collagen, Disodium Succinate, Scutellaria Baicalensis Extract, Morus Bombycis Root Extract, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance and FIL. Some women may be glad to see that the formulation may consist of at least a few naturally derived ingredients.

We are glad to see that Collagen is mentioned in the list of ingredients, but we believe “Marine” and “Soluble” Collagen may not be the highest-quality forms available. Some of the higher-end skincare products may contain fresh and real Collagen, which is believed to promote firmer and younger-looking skin. It may also have a moisturizing effect on the skin.
Unfortunately, Collagen may be the only ingredient that really stands out in this topical cream. It appears that the formulation may contain other herbal extracts and botanicals, but none may be regarded as among the most potent anti-wrinkle solutions. Some of the higher-end creams may contain Hyaluronic Acid, Argireline® and Matrixyl 3000®.

According to the website, the manufacturer recommends this product for everyday use, though we feel it is unclear whether it should be used once or twice daily, and whether it is best suited for daytime or nighttime use. It is claimed women should “smooth [the cream] gently onto face until thoroughly absorbed.” Supposedly, the product may be used alone or together with makeup.
We are disappointed that this formula does not seem to contain the most advanced anti-wrinkle agents available on the market. There are quality formulas available that blend a powerful combination of Matrixyl 3000®, Argireline®, Hyaluronic Acid and fresh Collagen. Many women report exceptional and quick results when applying this blend topically. It is known to reverse and diminish the signs of aging at the deepest level of the skin.

L'Oreal Dermo-Expertise Age Perfect™ Day Cream may be advertised as one of the most effective anti-wrinkle creams, but we are not convinced that it is the strongest and safest formula available. The product is also marketed as a sunscreen, supposedly able to protect against sun damage, but we would like to see more from this anti-aging cream.
We note that consumer testimonials for this product may be inconclusive; some claim it may be useful, while others say it induces unwanted side effects. Some people have reportedly experienced irritation and breakouts of acne on their face. It may also have an unpleasant scent. Some higher-end creams are known to be backed by an overwhelming number of positive testimonials and success stories.
