For instance, Botanical Facial Cleanser is used to cleanse the skin without harmful foaming agents; Crystal Exfoliator is said to use a compilation of fine particles to “polish” the skin; Refreshing Mist is used to hydrate the skin; Camu C Serum is used to ease fine lines and wrinkles; Deep Nourishing Oil is claimed to harmonize skin; and finally, Replenishing Moisturizer is used to hydrate the skin.
However, while the advertising around this product line is intense, as are the claims made about their abilities, we are rather concerned regarding some of the elements in the different formularies. For example, Melissa and Sandalwood oils are used to supposedly “uplift and calm the mind, plus pacify your skin” in their Lluvia™ Refreshing Mist™. However, they are also known to be irritants, and may cause allergic reactions in some people. This may be especially troubling when used on facial skin. While this product is purported to be extremely hydrating, which may be appealing to many, since skin dehydration may add to the development of wrinkles and lines, we find Hyaluronic Acid has been shown to be far more effective and safe in this arena.

This website outlines their products, but at this time, they do not disclose their entire formula, nor do they post any research to support the purported abilities of the elements they use in their formularies. In their Camu C Serum™ anti-aging treatment, they highlight the use of the Camu Camu berry, an element many people may not recognize. It is used because it is suggested to have a high Vitamin C content, which may mean it may promote the development of healthy Collagen. However, we find there is little research that supports their point of view, and, in fact, our research shows that Real Collagen is far more effective in boosting the body’s Collagen levels.

There are alternatives available online that safely and effectively combat wrinkles and fine lines.
