Introduction & Overview |
Lycogel™ is a line of the so-called “breathable” skincare products by Dermacia®. We believe that it may be yet another line of cosmetics that may really not do anything to address skin rejuvenation. Yet the product line contains similar formulas featuring similar ingredients. The only stark differences among the products may be that they are marketed in different forms. However, to its credit, the product line has an official online presence.
There are a number of anti-aging creams and other topical applications available nowadays. However, we believe that when it comes to reducing the visible signs of aging, there may be better ingredients out there than what is included in the products in question. Therefore, we will take a look at Dermacia®, and such topical applications in general, to conclude whether the items may really provide the wonderful results they promise.

The chief marketing point behind Dermacia® products seem to be the word “breathable”, as evidenced by its product line: Breathable Foundation, Breathable Concealer, Breathable Moisture Spray, Breathable Face Moisturizer, Breathable Cleanser, Breathable Toner, Dermacia Brushes, Lip Formulush, Hydration Kit and Professional Collection Kit. The manufacturer does not fully explain what “breathable” means. In any case, the Lycogel™ makeup line comprises of two products: Camouflage and Concealer.

It may be worth noting that since the manufacturer dabbles in so many skincare products, it may be really confusing to decide which product to choose. This may be more so, since the manufacturer does not seem to expressly promote one anti-wrinkle formula; instead, it offers its products as a “non-choking” and “breathable” line of makeup, which is said to provide “the right cover” by not inviting “enlarged pores, breakouts, discoloration and wrinkles.”
Lycogel™ is a makeup line. As such, the focus is more on disguising fine lines and wrinkles, and not so much on promoting long-term wrinkle reduction. For instance, Camouflage is a foundation and not an anti-aging cream. Thus, we believe that while Lycogel™ may have some cosmetic benefit, it may not really be the answer to those looking for anti-aging creams and lotions.

We believe a really effective product will not only have an exclusive online presence and excellent customer service, but will also be backed by testimonials and real results. Furthermore, successful, and thus dependable, manufacturers seem to focus on marketing only one effective product, rather than dabbling on an array of mediocre items. In these regards, we believe the Dermacia® line fails to be impressive.
In the end, we strongly believe choosing a skin rejuvenating cream is chiefly about the ingredients. We find the best products will definitely have ingredients that have been proven to not only lubricate and exfoliate the skin, but to also actively eliminate dead cells, thereby reducing the flaking. Furthermore, we also like a beauty cream that contains Collagen, which has been found to be the primary agent in strengthening blood vessels and in developing new tissues, especially in the skin. Thus, products with Collagen that have received numerous accolades from the media and other women may be a better option.
