Skin Strengthening Complex by NIA24™ is a repair cream that is said to “visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by enhancing the skin's barrier function, accelerating repair and delivering continual moisturization.” Furthermore, the company specifically claims and highlights that the moisturizing cream “is clinically shown to visibly improve skin tone, texture and hyper-pigmentation.” However, as of this review, the company fails to provide evidence for this claim.
There are a number of anti-aging creams and other topical applications available nowadays; however, we believe that when it comes to reducing the visible signs of aging, it may be a better option to choose products that aim to achieve longer term wrinkle reduction than exotic oils. In the end, we believe the NIA24™ Skin Strengthening Complex may not really do anything to reduce wrinkles. The dearth of scientific evidence backing the active ingredients makes us believe the product may only function as an effective UVA and UVB moisturizer. We believe more in ingredients that have been scientifically advanced and proven to play a role in reducing the visible signs of aging.
Therefore, an alternative may be to research other topical creams. As we age, our supply of Collagen also depletes. The skin starts loosing its ability to replenish new tissues, and age lines and wrinkles start to form. When this happens, it is necessary to ensure that the skin is properly hydrated and moisturized. There are some effective products that not only contain fresh Collagen and Matrixyl®, but also include scientifically advanced ingredients, like Argireline®, which has been specifically formulated to reduce wrinkle formation.
