Pronutrex™ Wrinkle Serum |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
Pronutrex™ Wrinkle Serum is said to contain “synergistic ingredients” that “are known to reduce wrinkles and rejuvenate your skin.” The company specifically claims and highlights that it “uses expensive, pure ingredients, which work synergistically to revitalize and renew skin.” However, close inspection reveals that the “synergistic” ingredients may merely be exotic ingredients, like Emu Oil and Olive Squalene.
There are a number of anti-aging creams and other topical applications available nowadays; however, we believe that when it comes to reducing the visible signs of aging, it may be a better option to go with products that aim to achieve longer term wrinkle reduction than exotic oils. Therefore, we will take a look at Pronutrex™ Wrinkle Serum to conclude whether it may really provide the wonderful results it promises.

 | Ingredients at a Glance |
We like the fact that the Pronutrex™ Wrinkle Serum official website lists its complete ingredients and explains a few of them. Sadly, the Serum in question may not contain any proven wrinkle-reducing ingredient. In any case, it contains the following: Olive Squalene, Emu Oil, Aloe Vera Oil, Vitamin E, Tangerine Oil, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben and Propylparaben.

 | Ingredients in Focus |
As may be deduced from its name, Emu Oil is oil derived from the refined body fat of the Emu, which is a bird native to Australia. Emu Oil is invariably championed by many people for many purposes. Depending on the industry, some suppliers are selling Emu Oil for anything from pain-relieving or massaging therapies, to alleviating acne, reducing wrinkles and even lowering cholesterol. However, as of review, we could not find any evidence whatsoever backing the claims that Emu Oil may provide all the fantastic results it is supposed to deliver.
Since there are a lot of beauty and skincare products on the market claiming to dramatically reduce visible signs of aging, some people may be confused by all the advertisements and claims. However, we believe that at least a few of these products genuinely hydrate the skin, reduce line formations, increase the elasticity of the skin tissue and make us feel great without having to overspend.

 | Lifestyle Benefits |
Nowadays, it may not be surprising to come across skincare manufacturers claiming one vitamin/mineral or an exotic ingredient as the most important or efficient agent in reducing wrinkles and lines. However, we believe that vitamins and minerals may easily be replenished with the assistance of daily vitamin supplements. We believe an anti-aging cream will need something more besides providing essential vitamins or exotic oils. If Emu Oil may really decrease the visible signs of aging by itself, then we wonder why so many middle-aged Aborigines seem to have wrinkles.

 | Final Thoughts |
In the end, although we like that it contains some interesting exotic oils, we believe it may not really do anything to reduce wrinkles. The dearth of scientific evidence backing such claims makes us believe they really may only be conventional wisdom. We believe more in ingredients that have been scientifically advanced and proven to play a role in reducing the visible signs of aging.
Therefore, an alternative may be to research topical creams. As we age, our supply of Collagen also depletes. The skin starts loosing its ability to replenish new tissues, and age lines and wrinkles start to form. When this happens, it is necessary to ensure that the skin is properly hydrated and moisturized. There are some effective products that not only contain fresh Collagen and Matrixyl®, but also have scientifically advanced ingredients, like Argireline®, which has been specifically formulated to reduce wrinkle formation.
