This formulation may contain some of the following ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Benzoate and Citric Acid.

The ingredients in this formulation seem intended primarily to enable intercourse without “irritating sensitive tissues.” These components appear to be rather typical of lubricant products, which are aimed at providing moisture. This formulation does not seem to be designed to prompt clitoral stimulation, which we find to be unfortunate. For women, the main source of arousal and of orgasm is the clitoris, which contains 5,000 highly sensitive nerve endings.

We have heard of sexual enhancement products that take advantage of this biological reality by reactivating these clitoral nerve endings for maximum sensation. Products applied directly to the clitoris tend to provide increased blood flow and engorgement to this highly receptive region of the female genitalia.

We believe that the act of sex usually involves complex factors beyond mere mechanical readiness. This is where we believe that many sexual enhancement products go wrong. Passionate, mutually satisfying sex usually requires more than an erect penis and a lubricated vagina. It requires the ability of both partners to experience each sensation acutely, deeply and intensely. A woman who is able to enjoy an orgasm -- or even multiple orgasms -- is much more likely to display enthusiasm and passion in bed than one who is artificially lubricated. In turn, a man is much more likely to be turned on by a woman who is clearly and uninhibitedly enjoying sex. We believe that the better sexual enhancement products address more than the external mechanics of sexual readiness. In our opinion, these products should address the capacity for mutual arousal and pleasure.

In the end, this product seems to benefit women only in that it allows them to avoid irritation during acts of sex they were not naturally prepared for. We do not believe that artificial lubrication is likely to improve the passion and intensity of sex, either for the woman or her male partner.

Instead, we believe that lubrication should stem from genuine sexual arousal. Currently, there are topical products that are designed to send a rush of arousing blood flow to the clitoris. Some of the most effective ingredients in these products are Menthol, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond and Coconut.
