Fab Female is a female sexual enhancement formulation that claims to also be “suitable for men.” This formulation is said to “use many synergistic herbal extracts, in generous quantities, to help with desire, sensitivity, blood flow and circulation.” This supplement is said to “enhance waning libidos” through natural herbal ingredients.
We find it odd that a product called “Fab Female” would bill itself as being suitable for men; however, in this case, this may make sense. The Website even goes so far as to provide the definition of the word virile, describing it as “having the nature, properties, or qualities of an adult man.” It seems clear to us that the manufacturer of this product is primarily focused on male sexual health, and this product seems to reflect that priority in many ways. We will evaluate this formulation for its ability to enhance female sexual desire, arousal and orgasm.

We consider the ingredients Horny Goat Weed, Catuaba Bark, Muira Puama Bark, and Damiana to be excellent components of male sexual enhancement formulations. However, we do not know them to be particularly targeted to the needs of women. We would have preferred to see natural ingredients that are known to provide natural clitoral stimulation, such Menta Piperita Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, and Menthol. These components are useful for the specific stimulation needs of the female body.
We also have serious reservations about the use of the ingredient L-Arginine in this formulation. While L-Arginine has gained a certain level of popularity as a precursor to Nitric Oxide, which enhances blood flow, some studies have found that it may also have undesirable effects. According to some researchers, L-Arginine may elevate the body’s levels of a lactation-related hormone that is said to significantly diminish libido. We are genuinely confounded as to why this would be desirable for either gender.

It is our opinion that pill formulations are not the most desirable means of delivery for a sexual enhancement product for women. Women’s arousal and orgasm may be more complex and elusive, and therefore require direct stimulation. We would have preferred to see this formulation presented in a more “female-friendly” manner.

It is our opinion that the female body responds best to direct stimulation of the clitoris with a topical product. We have heard positive data about the ingredients Cocos Nucifera Oil, Menthol, and Mentha Piperita Oil.
